Atmospheric Information Services (AIS) is a meteorological and environmental consulting firm specializing in applied research, environmental impact and site assessments, and forensic weather investigations. Established in 2000, AIS has quickly developed a reputation for providing innovative cost-effective solutions to a variety of meteorological and environmental problems.

AIS’s broad expertise ranges from observational field studies to computer modeling. During the past few years AIS has managed or collaborated in a variety of meteorological and environmental field projects, including short-term intensive deployments and long-term monitoring studies, in support of environmental site surveys, permitting, or basic meteorological research. AIS also specializes in meteorological and climatological data acquisition and analysis in support of weather impact studies for affected industries and forensic services for the legal and insurance communities.

AIS is a partner with EnviroLaw, a legal and regulatory consulting firm specializing in impact assessments for private and public institutions, representation in permitting procedures and regulatory adjudicatory hearings, and performance of environmental audits and site assessments. Recent work includes developing the legal and jurisdictional framework for offshore wind projects south of Long Island and in the Great Lakes. The AIS-EnvironLaw partnership integrates expertise in the atmospheric sciences and the law to provide unique and advanced products and services to its clients.
